Emergency Replacement of Infoblox DHCP/DNS Serveres from 2026-05-18 18:00 EDT to 2026-05-18 23:00 EDT

VCU Network Services will be migrating DNS (internal and external) and DHCP services from Infoblox to EfficientIP on Monday May 18th starting at 6pm. The replacement servers have been pre-configured and tested in advance to minimize disruption.

While network impact is expected to be minimal, users may experience brief interruptions to DHCP services during the transition to production. Some devices may require a reboot to obtain updated network settings after the change is complete.

This migration is being performed as an emergency change due to hardware issues identified on the current Infoblox infrastructure. Additionally, complications from a prior change require that DNS and DHCP services be migrated simultaneously rather than in separate maintenance windows.
