You may not be able to access Banner Production Admin Pages, eServices, and Faculty Grade Entry for a short period of time, but we’ll have things back up and running as soon as possible to minimize disruptions.

On Sunday November 5th starting at 6pm Network Services will be replacing EOL gear in Harris Hall. This work will create a temporary loss of connectivity for site to site VPN connections such as RPD, AWS, T4, LabCorp, and Qatar. The CenturyLink ISP connection will also experience a temporary loss of connectivity however internet connectivity is not expected to be disrupted.
The Harris Hall EOL replacement was successfully completed.
Customers are experiencing delays in sending and receiving email to their VCU email account. We have identified delays in email delivery, and are actively investigating.

Customers may experience delays in receiving email to their VCU email account. The delay is related to a global issue with our Cisco email security appliances which has been identified and resolved. Queued email is being delivered.

Network Services will be replacing a core router at Harris Hall on Sunday July 23rd starting at 6pm. A network outage is expected to be minimal as the network cores are redundantly designed, however there could be a brief reconvergence. All of the PE's that connect to the Harris core also have redundant connections with the Poca core. This maintenance should be completed by 11pm.

Our commercial ISP has successfully repaired the damaged fiber and service has been restored.
Network connectivity has been restored at Founders Hall and the building is back online.
